Many people, however, trout fishermen in particular, have wished that there was no disturbing clunky junction between the Commando Head and the running line. Ed Ward has now solved that problem…Enter the Commando SMOOTH: a fully integrated shooting head and thin, coated mono running line system. Perfect for trout fishing and for fishing at close range. At just 0.635mm/0.025″ in diameter, the running line shoots almost as well as mono, but it floats higher and many people will find it easier to handle. The head is the same good old Commando Head, with a seamless connection to the running line. It’s a pretty simple formula, and one that will appeal to anyone who has bought an original Commando Head.
